Re-Opening Guidelines: Effective May 17, 2020   10:00 AM

Effective, Monday, May 11, 5:00 PM, Gov. Ivey removed the limitation on gatherings larger than 10. Churches may now gather but must follow “social distancing guidelines.” First Baptist Church of Saks plans to Re-Open for our 10:00 AM Morning Worship Service beginning May 17. All other services remain cancelled. Please know that we want everyone to be safe. We have thoroughly cleaned and disinfected the entire Church Sanctuary and foyer. We will continue this deep cleaning each week to prepare for the following Sunday. 


If you do not feel well or have a temperature above 100.4 degrees, please remain at home. If you are not yet ready to gather publicly, we will continue producing our “online” worship service which will be available each Sunday Morning at 10:00 AM through Facebook, YouTube, and our church website ( Our “online” Wednesday Bible Study will be available as well. 


The Following measures will be taken during Sunday Morning Services to keep everyone safe and to follow the guidelines published by the Alabama Department of Public Health. 


  1. Everyone is asked to enter through the Front Doors and Foyer. The Doors will be propped or held open. Please go directly to your seats. 


  1. No handshakes, hugs, or personal contact. Simply greet one another with a smile!


  1. Maintain 6 feet social distancing at all times. To help our worshippers spread out, we will “mark off” every other pew to create a distance of six feet. The Balcony will be utilized


  1. Families are asked to sit together. There will be NO Nursery or Worship Kidstyle


  1. No offering plates will be passed. A safer giving option will be utilized at the close of the service. 


  1. There will be no Choir or Orchestra at this time. Bro. Randall will utilize our music ministry volunteers for various praise teams and special music from week to week. 


  1. No Bulletins. 


  1. Men’s and Women’s restrooms will be limited to one person at a time. 


  1. Feel free to wear a protective mask. However, masks are not required at this time.
