Children's Ministry

Welcome,

I am Tammy Postell the Children’s Ministry Director. I would like to tell you a little about our Children’s Ministry here at FBC Saks.

We offer classes for nursery, pre-school, and 1st- 6th grade. Our Children’s Ministry is staffed with loving people who have a heart as I do for all children. Your child will be in a safe and secure environment. There is no need for you to worry. Enjoy your time of learning and worship. We will take good care of your child .

Fun is a vital part of our ministry, but our main objective is to teach the children about Jesus. Lessons are simple. A movie, story, and a craft are all part of the learning experience. Our children also have many talents. Whether it be singing, playing an instrument, or even a karate demonstration; from time to time we are entertained by one of our children during Kidz Playce Children’s Church.

We also want our children to be involved in the community. We visit local nursing homes and take them small gifts on special holiday’s. We do food drives. During VBS week we have a community parade. The children enjoy going out in the area to invite children to VBS. I am always looking for ways to teach them to be community minded and to be “Fisher’s of Men”.

At least four times a year the children are taken on a bus trip. We have been to Lake Winnie in Chattanooga, Tn, the Pumpkin Patch , Adairsville, Ga, and Snow Mountian in Stone Mountain, Ga. Parent’s are invited but not expected to join us on our trip’s. We have found this to be a special bonding time for the staff as well as the children.

My calling in life from the Lord is to minister to children. I have been involved with Children’s Ministry since I was a young girl growing up as a Pastor's daughter. I am now a Pastor's wife. I am married to Pastor Randy.

I remember how special my teacher’s made me feel as a child. I want to create a lasting memory for the children in our ministry. I love each and every child as if they were my own. I would love to minister to your child.

Come visit us and find a”Playce” for your child. We would love to have your child be one of our “Kidz” .
