First Time Guest
Information
It would be our
privilege to have you visit First Baptist Church of Saks. To make
you feel welcome, we have designated greeters to assist you as you
enter the church. They do not intend to single you out during the
service and put you on display. They simply want to answer any
questions you may have and direct you to where you need to go. We
want your first experience at our church to be a special one, and
will work to make you feel comfortable and welcome.
Where Do I Park?
We have reserved
parking spaces for first-time guests in front of the sanctuary,
though you are free to park anywhere on church grounds. We have
a courtesy golf cart to assist those in need of a lift. If you
have a disability just pull up under the office entrance and
someone will assist you. We also have guest wheelchairs
available. We will make sure you get to where you need to go
with as little discomfort as possible.
What About Security?
For your safety,
security personnel are assigned to posts throughout our
buildings and on the grounds. We also have guards assigned to
the children and nursery areas.
What Do I Wear?
God accepts you as
you are and so do we. From your Sunday best to your blue jeans,
you are welcome in here.
Do I Need to Bring a
Bible?
Feel free to bring
your own bible, or use one provide on the backs of each pew.
What Should I Expect
During the Worship Service?
The Sunday morning
worship service begins at 10:00 AM. A full choir and orchestra
lead the congregation in music and praise. Our Pastor calls the
church to a special time of prayer and makes announcements.
Special music prepares our hearts for the preaching of God’s
Word. Our services are joyful, celebratory, and Jesus
Christ-centered. Most services last 1-1.5 hours. For a preview
of the blessings you'll receive, visit our Multimedia library
where podcast, audio sermon's, and FBC special singer's are
available.
What Services are
Provided for Children?
During all of our
services, secured childcare is provided for ages ranging from
newborns to fourth graders. Our loving and caring nursery staff
would love the opportunity to care for your child while you
attend Sunday school and the worship service. Before the morning
worship service, we have age group specific Sunday School
classes. The greeters in foyers will take you and your children
to the appropriate classrooms. We also offer Kidz Playce
Children's Church for grades 4-6, and His Kids for Nursery- 3
years old. A hostess in the sanctuary can escort your child to
His Kids at the beginning of the worship service. Kidz Playce
Kids sit down for call to worship. They leave during fellowship
time. You can just take your child down front to one of the
Children's Ministry workers who is sitting with the Kidz.
Best Time To Arrive
Plan to arrive about
10 to 15 minutes before the beginning of Sunday school or the
worship service to give yourself ample time to get parked and
escorted to the appropriate location.
We look forward to meeting you!
